As part of its commitment to empowering marginalized families in the Al-Basatin area and ensuring a dignified and sustainable life for them, Edraak, in collaboration with the Etisalat Foundation for Community Development and Welfare and the Clothing Bank, carried out an urgent humanitarian intervention for women and children in the Mazareta area of Al-Basatin. This was the first phase of the foundation’s community work in the area, targeting the distribution of shelter and protection necessities to 600 families. The second phase will involve economic empowerment projects for women and a community school for children.
This intervention followed a community needs assessment conducted by the foundation to implement future developmental interventions.
Edraak extends its gratitude to the 25 volunteers from the Sociology Department of the Faculty of Arts at Helwan University who participated in the implementation.
